Just do Web Search of Poem or Kavita ! you will find there are many web-sites which provide people to write Poem. Majority of them are Forums/NewsGroups or other Content Management system and few are blogs !

People love to read Poem ! People wants to become fan of some poet and wants to read their poem again and again Regularly !

There are few blogs for poem/kavita on Popular blogging platforms ! Blogging seems to be perfect match for this type of stuffs !

Simply : Blogs are better than forums

There is nothing Wrong in Blogging platform. They are great and millions of user are using services of blogger.com, wordpress.com etc.
