MyKavita Creative Commons per post Wordpress plugin will be opensourced soon !

Dear All [ and specially some friends who are waiting for the stuff],

Some of you were expected to make available this “unique feature” (AFAIK) of MyKavita.com to be opensourced today at Barcamp Bangalore (www.barcampbangalore.org)

[Even we have not officially announced, some of our friends and few campers were knowing]. We just want to inform that, we will soon make this code available to public.

What the plugin is doing ?

we think this is unique and useful feature only with MyKavita.com right now !. If you are into blogging and wordpress, there is plugin by which you can put your “whole blog” under one Creative Commons license. But with MyKavita we found that it is nice to have “per post license” flexibility.

i.e. You may want to publish one poem under Attribution license, and other poem under Attribution-Non Derivative-NonCommercial license. you can do that rightnow only with MyKavita ! (As per our best knowledge there is no publically/opensource available plugin to do this.)

Why not right now ?

There are some minor Fix, documentation update is remaining.

Also currently one need to make change in themes manually to adopt the plugin.

[this issue will be there even we put it opensource in first release, we hope in next successive release we can eliminate this]

Also we are planning to have some better and userful content for MyKavita Creative commons section @ www.mykavita.com/cc
